Old girls keep Corran alive
The Corran School Old Girls’ Association is determined to keep memories of the school alive, five years after the Remuera school merged with St Kentigern College in 2009.
On March 22 a reunion for former pupils and teachers, and their families and friends will be held in the garden of a historic house at Northcote Point.
It will be 67 years since the school was founded.
The first girl enrolled at Corran in 1947, Lana Le Roy (nee Levy) coming from Australia to attend.
There will be a complimentary cocktail on arrival, live music, food, spot prizes, a cash bar, photographic displays and the opportunity to reminisce and socialise.
A Friends of Corran group will be launched, to ensure reunions continue.
Tickets are $30. See corranoldgirls. co.nz or phone Jan Shaw on 575 6015 for more information.
