Old girls keep Cor­ran alive

The Cor­ran School Old Girls’ As­so­ci­a­tion is de­ter­mined to keep mem­o­ries of the school alive, five years af­ter the Re­muera school merged with St Kentigern Col­lege in 2009.

On March 22 a re­union for for­mer pupils and teach­ers, and their fam­i­lies and friends will be held in the gar­den of a his­toric house at North­cote Point.

It will be 67 years since the school was founded.

The first girl en­rolled at Cor­ran in 1947, Lana Le Roy (nee Levy) com­ing from Aus­tralia to at­tend.

There will be a com­pli­men­tary cock­tail on ar­rival, live mu­sic, food, spot prizes, a cash bar, pho­to­graphic dis­plays and the op­por­tu­nity to rem­i­nisce and so­cialise.

A Friends of Cor­ran group will be launched, to en­sure reunions con­tinue.
