Inside story on trafficking

Central Leader - - NEWS -

Detective Daniel Walker will share his personal experiences, struggles and triumphs investigating the dangerous underworld of human trafficking next week.

After many years working undercover across the globe, Walker has become an expert at infiltrating sex trafficking rings, rescuing hundreds of victims and prosecuting dozens of perpetrators ( Central Leader, June 2013). He is now the director of his own anti-trafficking organisation, NVader, which partners with TEAR Fund New Zealand.

Walker says human trafficking is a growing industry that makes traffickers a substantial profit.

‘‘There are now more slaves than at any other time in human history, with the average age of victims only 12 years old.’’

See Daniel Walker on June 8 from 6.30pm at Greenlane Christian Centre, 17 Marewa Rd, Greenlane.
