Historic song and dance
August is a big month at Alberton.
A Victorian tea dance is being held at the historic mansion on August 3, from 2pm to 5pm.
Rose and Thistle Country Band will perform and guests are encouraged to come dressed in Victorian costume.
A concert commemorating the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War I is happening on August 10.
Sing a Song of Soldiers will feature pianist Reg Towers and opera singers Catherine Reaburn and Louise Malloy.
A formal ball is being held on August 16.
