Festival of carols
Award-winning composer Chris Artley is set to perform a free Christmas concert at St Patrick’s Cathedral. A Ceremony of Carols will feature early music group Age of Discovery in Artley’s eight-part, acappella O Magnum Mysterium. Artley, who is also a music teacher at King’s College, completed his score in just 10 days in 2012. New carols by London-based composer Andrew Baldwin will also be featured with Benjamin Britten’s timeless A Ceremony of Carols featuring New Zealand harpist, Helen Webby. On December 13 from 7.30pm, St Patrick’s Cathedral, 43 Wyndham St. Free entry.
