75 mil­lion trips

Auck­land has for the first time ever hit 75 mil­lion an­nual pub­lic trans­port trips. Since De­cem­ber last year, more than 15,000 ex­tra trips on buses, trains and fer­ries a day have been recorded. When Brit­o­mart opened in 2003 rail pa­tron­age was at just 2.5 mil­lion a year. It is now 12.3 mil­lion.
