Rewarding work with St John

St John needs more volunteers to help out ambulance services at community events.

Adult volunteers are especially needed around the Mt Wellington area as well as in Otahuhu.

Volunteers find the experience very rewarding, St John team leader John Eadie says.

‘‘As a volunteer you directly contribute to the welfare of your community, plus you become a respected role model for family, friends and colleagues,’’ Eadie says.

Opportunities that match a range of skills, personality types and availability are offered.

Prospective volunteers are required to undergo a police check and to have a full and clean New Zealand driver’s licence which they have held for a year, or they need to have completed an approved NZTA advanced driving course.
