New Zealand’s chances of ad­vanc­ing be­yond their group at the up­com­ing Fifa Un­der20 World Cup were given a con­sid­er­able boost at the of­fi­cial draw in Auck­land on Tues­day. Host­ing the event for the first time, the Ju­nior All Whites were drawn in Group A along­side the United States, Ukraine and Asian min­nows Myan­mar for the 20th edi­tion of Fifa’s sec­ond largest men’s tour­na­ment. The top two from each of the six groups go through to the knock-out round of 16, along with the four best third­placed sides. The Ju­nior All Whites will open the 24-na­tion tour­na­ment with the clash against Ukraine at North Har­bour Sta­dium on May 30.
