What do you like best about Hillsborough?
I love the proximity to a number of diverse suburbs each with a distinctive character – Royal Oak, Mt Roskill, Onehunga or Newmarket.
How long have you lived here and where are you originally from?
This May I will have lived here for three years. I came from Ranui in Waitakere.
What do you like least and how can we fix it?
Traffic along Hillsborough Rd. We need more buses and safe cycle friendly options.
Where’s the best place to buy dinner?
My two favourite places are Chahaat (Indian) at Greenwoods Corner and Cinta (Malaysian) on Dominion Rd.
And who does the best fish ’n chips?
I don’t know, I never buy fish ‘n chips.
Who is the Kiwi you admire most – and why?
Ray Avery who rose above very tough childhood experiences to found the charity Medicine Mondiale. He used his education, skill and scientific knowledge to create a development organisation which supplies affordable lifesaving healthcare technologies to the poorest and most disadvantaged.
