Learn skills and then come alongside someone with communication difficulties after a stroke, to help them gain confidence and feel part of their community again. This is a very fulfilling role for a volunteer. Training and support is provided by speech–language therapists and volunteer co-ordinators through an initial two-day training session (in late May), ongoing support and annual get-togethers and training.
