Festival starts up with a roar
It’s loud, it’s colourful and it’s back to take over the Ponsonby Rd strip.
The Auckland Pride Parade will see more than 55 floats and hundreds of performers travel the length of Ponsonby Rd tomorrow.
This year’s parade has a later start time of 7.30pm.
It kicks off at Western Park and runs for 90 minutes before finally wrapping up at Three Lamps.
Performers and floats will be dressed as everything from taniwha and Chinese dragons to all-powerful deities to fit the gods and monsters theme.
