Bays run sup­ports char­i­ties

There’s just over a week to go to the Ports of Auck­land Round the Bays 2015 fun run and walk.

Thou­sands will be mak­ing their way to St He­liers Bay on March 8 to raise money for eight de­serv­ing char­i­ties.

This year Shine (Safer Homes in NZ Ev­ery­day), Auck­land Down Syn­drome As­so­ci­a­tion, Barnar­dos, the Neona­tal Trust Auck­land, Stut­ter­ing Treat­ment and Re­search Trust, Ken­zie’s Gift, Wai­heke Health Trust and Fair­fax First Books will re­ceive a share of $100,000.

Event par­tic­i­pants can reg­is­ter and raise funds through the Ev­ery­day Hero fundrais­ing plat­form and the new Gold Char­ity Pro­gramme.

Late en­tries are still be­ing ac­cepted.

And ev­ery­one who reg­is­ters as a Gold Char­ity run­ner in Fe­bru­ary goes in the draw to win $250 of Brooks gear.

The fun run and walk is coowned by Fair­fax Me­dia, pub­lisher of the Cen­tral Leader, and the Auck­land Jog­gers Club.
