Bays run supports charities
There’s just over a week to go to the Ports of Auckland Round the Bays 2015 fun run and walk.
Thousands will be making their way to St Heliers Bay on March 8 to raise money for eight deserving charities.
This year Shine (Safer Homes in NZ Everyday), Auckland Down Syndrome Association, Barnardos, the Neonatal Trust Auckland, Stuttering Treatment and Research Trust, Kenzie’s Gift, Waiheke Health Trust and Fairfax First Books will receive a share of $100,000.
Event participants can register and raise funds through the Everyday Hero fundraising platform and the new Gold Charity Programme.
Late entries are still being accepted.
And everyone who registers as a Gold Charity runner in February goes in the draw to win $250 of Brooks gear.
The fun run and walk is coowned by Fairfax Media, publisher of the Central Leader, and the Auckland Joggers Club.
