The public will have the opportunity to give their feedback on stage 2 of the Wakowhai Coastal Boardwalk. The project is one of several focussed on reshaping the image of the Manukau Harbour. The $1.2 million walkway project aims to fill in the gaps in a new network including the Onehunga Foreshore restoration. Construction on stage 1 between Taumanu Reserve and Bamfield Place began in late March, and stage 2 will continue from Bamfield around to Taylors Bay. The Puketapapa Local Board will be hosting a community open day at St David’s in the Fields Church on May 28.
