RESIDENTS THREATENED

Central Leader - - YOUR PAPER, YOUR PLACE -

Police have released photos of two youths who were accused of threatening residents in central Auckland. Police say residents were allegedly threatened after they had approached the pair regarding the noise they were creating from the PA speakers fixed to their bikes. Constable Don Allan says police received a number of complaints about the twomales who were seen riding around Onehunga Mall and the bus depot. Police have since identified the pair and have confiscated their speakers. Allan says it’s vital residents call 111 if they experience anything similar. ‘‘Regardless of police availability these calls will provide intelligence around this activity, such as time, place, and locations, making it easier to deploy staff to those repeat locations,’’ he says.
