OF­FI­CER HIT BY CAR

A po­lice of­fi­cer was hit by a car in Three Kings on Satur­day. Po­lice were ap­peal­ing for sight­ings of Kyle Scott Tweedie, 44, who al­legedly drove into the of­fi­cer just be­fore 11am. Se­nior sergeant Glenn Bald­win said Tweedie was be­ing pur­sued by the of­fi­cer for a driv­ing of­fence. Tweedie then got caught in traf­fic around the Mt Al­bert Rd and Mt Eden Rd in­ter­sec­tion when the of­fi­cer got out of the car to ar­rest him. She was hit by his car, rolled across the bon­net and fell to the ground. Bald­win said the of­fi­cer was treated for mi­nor in­juries and was back at work. Tweedie’s blue Subaru was found aban­doned on Fifth Ave in Mt Al­bert onMon­day.
