One person has died after his motorcycle crashed with a car, blocking Auckland’s south western motorway. The 50-yearold man was taken to Auckland City Hospital in a critical condition, but died hours later. The crash happened on Onehunga Harbour Road on Tuesday morning, and resulted in the closure of the busy Neilson St on and off-ramps. St John Ambulance spokesman Robbie Walker understood there were no other injuries involved. Extensive delays were reported along the south western motorway, Nielsen St and Onehunga Mall due to the closures. Police said traffic management had been called, and the road was closed while emergency services and the Serious Crash Unit attended.
