Both have ac­cess to the ex­ist­ing rail net­work. The diesel ‘shut­tle’ trains are avail­able be­ing sur­plus to im­me­di­ate needs af­ter elec­tri­fi­ca­tion. Long dis­tance, slow driv­ing at the be­gin­ning and end of the day has an ad­verse af­fect to your health and to pro­duc­tiv­ity in gen­eral. AT needs to recog­nise this and utilise the ex­ist­ing trains over more and more road­ing.
