The Auck­land Aces 2016/17 sea­son will be one to watch with in­ter­est af­ter their match against Queens­land Bulls came down to the fi­nal ball last Thurs­day. The Aces and Queens­land Bulls walked away from Ker­ry­dale Oval on the Gold Coast with hon­ours shared, both teams scor­ing 267 runs in their al­lot­ted 50 overs. Com­ing into the last over, the Aces re­quired 11 runs to win with Donovan Grobbe­laar and Sean So­lia at the crease. The pair man­aged to push it to the fi­nal ball, rush­ing through for a bye to com­plete the tie.
