Eden Roskill made the most of their second day opportunity against Ellerslie in the Tom Hellaby competition as they recovered from the precarious position of 47 for 3 to take out the first innings points. Shaneil Sharma (88) and Oyishik Chakaraborty (78) combined for a fourth wicket partnership of 95 that got Eden Roskill back on track and helped them to a total of 213 in their 60 overs. That proved more than enough as Ellerslie stuttered to 150 all out. Ryan Higgins was the only player to make it past 20 as he scored 85 off just 89 deliveries. Without support it was never going to be enough and the first innings points were sufficient to push Eden Roskill fractionally above Ellerslie on the points table.
