Auckland’s fashion history will be on show from March 22 to April 1 when the New Zealand Fashion Museum presents Walk the Walk: a History of Fashion in the City. Garments will be on show at an exhibition at Smith + Caughey’s its sixth floor Lippincott Room. There will also be two catwalk events in Elliott Street on Saturday 1 April at 1pm and 2pm. A curator’s tour of the exhibition as well as a free guided walking tour will be held on several dates during the programme. Auckland Councillor Penny Hulse said the project was part of Auckland’s transformation to become a more vibrant and innovative city.
