Auckland city centre community builders Splice will be igniting a wave of kindness by handing out 5000 small jars of honey called little pots of kindness on Queen St and Karangahape Rd on September 1. Splice encouraged people to consider the impact elevated levels of kindness could have on communities. Some of Auckland’s central city cafes will also jump in to help build the wave of kindness, offering a number of free coffees on the day, building relationships between baristas and customers. Splice adhered to the notion that kindness was contagious and well worth catching. Even the smallest of act of kindness had the capacity to create an ongoing ripple of positivity in a neighbourhood.
