WALK FOR CANCER

Walkers will line the streets in pink for breast cancer in Auckland next month. The 2017 Breast Cancer Foundation NZ Pink Star Walks will take place from October through to November as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The annual fundraiser is a noncompetitive walk, with no training required. The walks are open to all ages and held in the twilight hours. The walking courses are a mix of 5km, 10km, or a half marathon (21km) option. Participants must walk not run the course. There is a party atmosphere at the finish line with entertainment provided. Walkers are encouraged to dress in pink, with many groups coordinating their costumes as a team and registering to fundraise. To register visit pinkstarwalk.co.nz
