United States Sec­re­tary of State Hil­lary Clin­ton got a taste of Wanaka at a bar­be­cue hosted by John Key where she en­joyed Pinot Noir from Wanaka’s Rip­pon Vine­yard. To ac­com­pany Kiwi clas­sics like white­bait, paua frit­ters, Nel­son scal­lops and wild­boar sausages, chef Steve Lo­gan, of Lo­gan Brown, se­lected a wine from each of New Zealand’s key wine­grow­ing re­gions.
