Popular day out in Central Otago
Fillies, frocks, food and fun will all come together at the popular Christmas at the Races, in Cromwell, on Sunday, November 28.
All things good about Central Otago will be part of the day, as quality wine, regional produce and local music are all celebrated.
Whether you’re an avid follower of the horses or just want a day out in Cromwell, there’ll be something to please everyone at the annual Gallop South event, which continues to go from strength to strength.
Gates open from 10.30am, with the first of the ten races underway at 12pm and the feature races - the AWS Legal Queenstown Cup and the Lindauer Wanaka Cup - to be held later in the day.
A crowd of between 5000 and 6000 is expected, as locals and visitors converge on the Cromwell Racecourse to enjoy a day out with their family or with their workmates as part of their Christmas work function.
