event are pupils Annmarie Sanders, 8, left, Sara Henderson, 9 and Meg Huffadine, 8. The event, which will be held on December 10, starting at 5pm, is being held instead of the traditional endof-year concert. Organiser Danella Smallridge said pupils had been learning about different celebrations around the world as part of their inquiry topic this term. Some of the classrooms had chosen a country or culture and would be performing something related to that country during the parade. One classroom had decided to ‘‘pimp’’ their bikes, with some bikes being decorated with a Christmas theme and others decorated with other celebrations. The pupils will parade up Molyneux Ave and along Barry Ave, before finishing at Anderson Park. The pupils will sing Christmas carols and Santa Claus will attend. Local entertainment will also be on offer from Paddy ’n’ the Lads. Families are invited to pack a picnic and enjoy the entertainment.
