Stomp­ing out child abuse in the South­ern Lakes and Cen­tral Otago Dis­tricts

To ed­u­cate as many peo­ple as pos­si­ble in each com­mu­nity on how to iden­tify and deal with sus­pected cases of child abuse. Fam­ily vi­o­lence cov­ers all as­pects, in­clud­ing emo­tional abuse, sex­ual abuse, psy­cho­log­i­cal abuse and phys­i­cal abuse. Ex­am­ples of vi­o­lence in­clude in­tim­i­da­tion, ha­rass­ment, dam­age to prop­erty, or threats of phys­i­cal, sex­ual, and psy­cho­log­i­cal abuse. A child can be psy­cho­log­i­cally abused if the vi­o­lent per­son causes or al­lows the child to see or hear the phys­i­cal, sex­ual, and psy­cho­log­i­cal abuse of a per­son with whom the child has a do­mes­tic re­la­tion­ship.
