KAPA HAKA TIME
Alexandra Primary School pupils Tain Roberts, 7, left, Myah Turnbull, 5, and Ethan Kerr, 7, get in some practise ahead of the Uruuruwhenua Schools’ Kapahaka Festival, being held at Molyneux Park on Sunday. Ten schools from throughout Central Otago will take part in the biennial event which is organised by Central Otago REAP and facilitated by REAP’s itinerant teacher of Maori in schools Mary-Anne Tamati. The event, which sees each school presenting two items, along with a mass performance of andHe celebrates the work the children have been learning in school. The festival will be held outside at Molyneux Park, beginning at 1pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
