Winter ready farm equipment

Central Otago Mirror - - NEWS -

Winter officially starts today, although we’ve already been dosed with howling southerlies, early snowfalls, and plunging temperatures. Once crutching is done, farm equipment maintenance and ’wintering-over’ tasks need attention.

Farm vehicles are in high demand during winter. There’s stock feed to get out, fencing materials to transport, and fertiliser assessments to be completed and remedied. Once in operation, farm equipment that then breaks down will be detrimental and costly. Mechanics could be a day away, possibly more, and farmers cannot afford that downtime with broken machinery sitting idle.

RD Petroleum (RDP) is highly respected by farming customers for supplying essential products that prepare and maintain farm machinery to ensure productivity is kept at the highest levels, despite wintry conditions.

Changing fuel filters before the winter schedule kicks into gear is good farm machinery maintenance practice. It’s now time to turn practice into action.

ROXDIESEL presents a solution. Stocking up on diesel fuel to maintain farm productivity over winter may be only half of the needed equation; keeping that fuel warm enough to be poured in extreme weathers may be the critical, and essential, final half. ROXDIESEL could be just what the ’winter fuel doctor’ would order.
