Powering up the festival

Central Otago Mirror - - FRONT PAGE -

The Contact Alexandra Blossom Festival is something the team at Contact’s Clyde power station look forward to every year and this year, as the principal partner, we are once again proud to be part of the celebrations. The festival is a really iconic annual event here in Central Otago and I really enjoy seeing family groups out having a good time, especially the look on the kids’ faces as the various floats go by during the Contact Grand Procession street parade. It’s nice to know that Contact plays a part in keeping this festival going. We also received such a positive response to last year’s schools promotion that we’re running it again, meaning all Central Otago primary school students get a free carnival ride or show ticket for the Contact Saturday in the Park event. Back at the station, the Contact team have started preparing the Senior Blossom Queen float for the street parade and we hope you’ll join us for this year’s festivities.
