by Wakatipu artist Gus Watson, will be one of about 30 paintings on display at the artist’s annual exhibition in January at his home at the foot of Coronet Peak. Watson’s work is described as usually bright, colourful, impressionistic images of landscapes and figures, boats and horses. Visitors also get the opportunity to see the beautiful rural setting of his studio and quirky garden, which has featured in magazines. Watson is a self-taught painter who has made his living as a painter for the last 25 years. The studio is open to the public 9.30am till 5pm between January 3 and 14 at 355 Littles Rd.
