The Disability Information Service Otago exists to provide free information on disability and health related issues to all members of the community. We are an independent service that aims to; Increase community awareness and understanding of disability and health related issues; Provide accessible information to all members of the community; Maintain a service that provides the opportunity for all individuals to make informed choices. We do this by providing; Information on disability and health related issues; Free internet to access www.weka.net.nz; Directory of health and disability related groups in Otago; Accessible accommodation guide; Accessible Eateries; Accessible Shopping Guide; Fundview; Quarterly newsletter and fortnightly up-dates, these are sent out to over 600 individuals, organisations and providers. We also sell daily living aids and incontinence products. Our service is for everyone; people with disabilities, family and friends, carers, trades people, fieldworkers, young people, older people, tertiary students and many more.
