Hunting season is nearly upon us
It’s that time of the year again which deer hunters and duck shooters look forward to with immense pleasure. The Roar is fast approaching, and before too long, it will be the opening of the duck shooting season, which this year is on Saturday, May 5th. Central Otago Hunting and Fishing in Cromwell have been counting down to this season as much as the hunters have been, and are well prepared for it. The Cromwell based hunting specialist store can cater for all of a hunter’s requirements. From head to toe, they have the clothing requirements to ensure warmth and safety for the hunter. Also in store are an extensive selection of guns to suit every hunter’s needs and skill level and also a supply of ammunition to match. Owner Larry Dougherty says he and his staff like to think they can help their customers with information and service as well as having great products available for purchasing at hard to beat prices. To assist with purchasing decisions, Hunting and Fishing’s new catalogue is hot off the press and full to the brim with a dearth of information describing the latest gear available and providing informative reviews on new equipment they have in stock. Mr Dougherty says if, by some chance a customer doesn’t get a catalogue in the mail, then they are welcome to call into the store and pick one up. Soon to be available in store will be duck shooting licences and with these come a limited offer of a free ‘COAST LED’ flashlight with the purchase of a full season adult licence. Central Otago Hunting and Fishing also cater for campers and trampers and stock a good range of boots and clothing as well as a wide range of camping gear to meet their requirements. And if a visit to their new store hasn’t been on your ’to do’ list, then it needs to be, with doors open seven days a week, and a warm welcome and a range of knowledge and advice available for all customers from a great team.
