Cromwell war veteran Jim Woods displays his medals from World War II. Family wearing the medals of loved ones to Anzac services should wear them on their chest, on the right-hand side. Omakau RSA president David Neil said he encouraged family members to dust off the war medals of family members and wear them to Anzac commemorations as a celebration of their service. He said returned servicemen and women who had received medals wore them on their chest on the left-hand side. Family members wearing medals of servicemen and women who had died should pin medals on the right-hand side.
