Same great store, same awesome sta but a NEW NAME!
element has been a cornerstone of the outdoor specialist stores in Queenstown for the past 7 years, but as of Thursday, element will be becoming an H&J s Outdoor World. Jamie Barton, Outdoor Division Manager for H&J Smith is looking forward to the change. What our Queenstown customers may not be aware of is that we ve had an H&J s Outdoor World in Invercargill for the past 40 years. Linking the two businesses closer together was an obvious choice to make sure that we have the best o er for our customers. As part of the new store, H&J s Outdoor World Queenstown has become part of the Gun City family along with the Avan Plus store. The name change gives us an opportunity to celebrate the last 7 years in Queenstown, plus look forward to the next 7 (or 20 years)! Barton said. As part of the celebra on, H&J s Outdoor World is giving customers the opportunity to win over $7,500 worth of prizes, including nding a rearm priced at $1 in the new Gun City gun rack. The gun goes on sale at 9am on Saturday and we re looking forward to a lot of the locals coming out to try their luck!
Gun City new to H&J s Outdoor World Queenstown
The newest edi on to the Gun City family, H&J s Outdoor World Queenstown is now up and running. Started in 1978 by Dave Tipple, Gun City and H&J s Outdoor World Invercargill have been working together for the past 21 years. Central Otago is a keen hun ng area so for H&J s Outdoor World Hunt Manager, Stephen Boyle, the decision for Gun City to be in the Queenstown store was obvious. Being part of the Gun City family will allow us to have a be er stock range and take greater advantage of direct impor ng to give our customers the best products with the best deals. Boyle is looking forward to growing the Gun City business in Queenstown with a strong team of hunt specialists at the helm.
Avan Plus going strong
With the largest range of bikes in Queenstown, Avan Plus at H&J s Outdoor World has something to suit every budget and ambi on. Tops brands including Sco , Avan (as ridden by Alison Shanks and the New Zealand women s track team at the latest Olympics) , ABD (what Sarah Walker rides) and Raleigh mean that everything from the most sophis cated road racing machines to Downhill, X-Country and kid s bikes are there for keen riders to try out. Led by Ryan Black, a keen mul -discipline rider, the Avan Plus Queenstown team is looking forward to becoming an H&J s Outdoor World. We work closely with the H&J s team in Invercargill and the name change really cements our rela onship. H&J s Outdoor World Queenstown sponsors a number of local riders including Bre Dingle, Giulio ChapmanOlla (triathlons and mul sport) and Clayton Gibson (mountain biking). It s great to be able to support our local athletes and help them succeed in their sports also great to see the H&J s Outdoor World kit out there on the podium .
