OPEN seven days a week the team at Specsavers Queenstown all work to one simple philosophy: to provide excellent customer service and quality eye care at an a ordable price. Bringing value to the eye wear market, Specsavers o er 2 pairs of glasses for 1 low price on all glasses $169 and above. In addi on to o ering high quality professional eye care Specsavers Queenstown includes free digital re nal photography with every standard eye test for free. The imagery allows optometrists to spot ny abnormali es, compare changes over me and poten ally catch sightthreatening or even life-threatening condi ons early, giving the best chance of successful treatment. Re nal photographs are stored permanently, allowing optometrists to bring up pa ents records instantly and track their eye health more e ciently and accurately. This helps to protect people against insidious condi ons like diabe c eye disease, glaucoma and macular degenera on, which o en creep up on people unawares because of the lack of obvious symptoms. People o en think that an eye examina on is just about upda ng their glasses prescrip on but there is so much more to it than that, says Aaron Irvine, Specsavers optometrist and store partner. In an eye examina on we are also looking out for signs of serious medical condi ons such as hypertension and diabetes, as well as sneaky eye condi ons like glaucoma that can destroy the peripheral vision gradually before people even no ce they have a problem. People think that if they aren t experiencing issues with their vision, they don t need an eye test, but all adults should have an eye test every two years to ensure their eyes and general health is in good order. This gives us the best chance of catching condi ons in the early stages when there are s ll many treatment op ons available.
