Woolon all set to roar
The gala event of the Alexandra Blossom Festival, The Mirror WoolOn, is set to be the biggest in its eight-year history. Event organiser Martin McPherson said more than 60 garments will be on display, the largest amount of entries the fashion show has received. Cromwell designer Anne Lyon, Otago Polytechnic design school lecturer Joan Leach, of Dunedin, and Clyde hairdresser and Wearable Arts designer Carolyn Laing are the panel that will judge this year’s event. Tickets to WoolOn, on October 12 and 13, are selling fast. Invercargill band Lipstick will provide entertainment after the Saturday night show.
Bella Thomlinson started at Cromwell Primary School on September 12.
