Bob’s Weigh the right way for many diners

Central Otago Mirror - - FEATURES - The food: The service: Suitable for: The verdict:

Whether you are looking for a big breakfast or a tasty sandwich on the run, Bob’s Weigh has got it covered. Extensive breakfast and lunch menus offer more than enough options including several for those who are gluten free or vegetarian. The menu is complemented by a cabinet packed full of delicious goodies, pastries, sandwiches, slices and cookies. The drinks menu is almost as extensive with a huge variety of juices, coffees and smoothies on offer and it should be noted our coffee was good. With so many options to choose from it took us a while to decide on our meals but our lengthy decision making was rewarded with very generous and tasty servings of a BLAT ($14.50) and a chicken tortilla ($15). Both meals were tasty and well presented and we both struggled to finish them. With so many treats on offer, it wasn’t easy to pick a sweet treat either but we couldn’t go past the award winning chocolate brownie ($4) and the lemon and cream cheese slice ($4). Both were a hit.

The staff at Bob’s way are always friendly and provide good service with a smile. In my experience any special requests are accommodated with- out hassle. Another nice touch is the way owner Bob pokes his head out from the kitchen to welcome customers with a massive smile and a little wave. We could do with a few more friendly people like him around.

The whole family, with delicious, nutritious fare at reasonable prices.

Bob’s Weigh is a great option for a breakfast, brunch, lunch, a quick snack or even just a takeaway coffee. Bobs’ delicious sandwiches are a hit around town and at just $5.50 provide good value for money, so if you are looking for a speedy lunch option I recommend trying one. The friendly service definitely adds value and just like the other local ‘‘regulars’’ we will both be back.
