Girls’ night out for a good cause
Want a free makeover? Want to learn some beauty tips? Want to help raise money for the Cromwell Early Learning Centre? If you said yes to any of those questions then you had better buy your tickets for the ‘‘Girls Night Out’’ event today. The event, on October 26, will include a fashion and beauty workshop, a pre-loved clothing sale, and stalls by designers Tamsin Cooper, Claire Bloom and Anthea Lawrence. More FM radio host and style ‘‘fashionista’’ Rebecca Flannery, Cromwell designer Anthea Lawrence and makeup artist Jess McDowell will be on hand to offer fashion, makeup and hair tips while guests sip on wine and cocktails. Event organiser Hayley Stanley said ‘‘the fashion and beauty workshop will have something for everyone, from quick make-up tips to what’s hot in fashion for the upcoming season. ‘‘There will also be the big reveal of the lucky winner of the makeover,’’ she said. However those wanting to be in the draw for the makeover would need to buy tickets by today. Those who take part in the event should ‘‘pull out their glad rags, get dressed up and be ready for an evening of fashion and fun with the girls,’’ she said. Photographer Tim Hawkins will take glamour photos, which will be able to be purchased as a memento of the night. Anyone willing to donate good quality women’s and children’s clothes, accessories and shoes could do so by dropping them at the learning centre.
Fashion forward: Girls Night Out event organisers’ Kim Clearwater, Hayley Stanley, Lisa Jeffery and Natalie Wilson preview some of the donated clothing for the fundraising event.
