First Aid Solutions is a Dunedinbased company who are NZQA accredited through their parent company Meditrain. First Aid Solutions have now got an instructor based in Central Otago. Local man Graham Sinclair has taken up the challenge to spread his knowledge throughout the area in the way of instructing first aid courses and restocking first aid kits to requirement. This is great news for Central, as now all the specials that are offered in Dunedin can be extended to businesses throughout Central. The first offer which First Aid Solutions has put out to the community is free first aid sessions for senior primary school children, years 6 – 8. This has been running in Dunedin very successfully for all of 2012. There has been a great response from it. Now First Aid Solutions is hoping to arm the children of Central Otago with the same skills and knowledge. Graham is looking forward to getting involved with all the primary schools and getting them on board with this programme, helping to better prepare the children for an emergency. Graham Sinclair is a local Alexandra resident and has previously been trained as a paramedic with St John. Graham’s outgoing and friendly personality and his extensive first aid knowledge has made him the perfect choice to join the First Aid Solutions team and head up the Central Otago branch.
