Lakes Leisure, where teams trained and held pub­lic train­ing ses­sions, paid a to­tal of $121,530 for its host­ing role. Lakes Leisure is a coun­cil con­trolled com­pany. The com­bined to­tal to the coun­cil and Lakes Leisure was $314,041, but $117,721 was re­couped by sources such as Des­ti­na­tion Rugby World Cup, Des­ti­na­tion Queen­stown and community grants – bring­ing the com­bined net cost down to $196,320.
