Central Otago country music fans are in for a treat with international star Isla Grant stopping to perform in Alexandra on her New Zealand tour. It is her eighth time touring New Zealand. ‘‘As an artist you’ve got to take your music out to the people. I always enjoy touring New Zealand.’’ ‘‘I love the people and the scenery is very much like home in Scotland,’’ she said. One of her favourite things about regularly touring the country was catching up with people who always attend her concerts. Those attending the show could expect a ‘‘great variety’’ with some of the old favourites on the playlist as well as songs from her new album Breathless. Husband Al is touring with her, playing bass guitar, and Dunedin singer Bevan Gardiner, the star of the Music and Life of John Denver show, will also take to the stage.
