A car-boot sale of retro items, antiques and collectables has been added to the list of attractions at this year’s Ranfurly Art Deco Festival. The three-day festival will take place from Friday, February 22. Event manager Martin McPherson said collectors and traders would be able to park their cars on the Lions Club reserve in Charlemont St to display their wares. ‘‘Followers of television’s popular Antiques Road Show will be aware of the bargains to be found in a carboot sale.’’ The 13th annual festival, which has attracted people from as far afield as Australia and England, would include a cabaret on Friday night and a street party on Saturday, with live entertainment, street performers, a fashion parade, classic cars, games and market stalls, among other attractions. People interested in taking part in the sale can email festival@maniototo.co.nz.
