Rates rise for Cromwell

Central Otago Mirror - - FRONT PAGE -

Cromwell residents face a rates increase of 6.8 per cent this year – significantly down on the rise first signalled by the Central Otago District Council. Under the council’s long-term plan, rates for Cromwell residents would have risen by 9.6 percent during the 2013-2014 year. But changes have been made to reduce the increase, including deferring repainting the Cromwell fruit statue and upgrading the town’s memorial hall by a year, to 2014-15.
