Rainbow weddings at a venue near you
Central Otago could become a same-sex marriage hotspot with advertisements already hitting the internet offering gay-friendly wedding packages. Log House Retreat owner Marg Matheson said she was approached by global website Purple Unions to advertise the retreat, which offers a boutique wedding ceremony for 80 people. The site helps gay couples find welcoming, friendly and supportive wedding vendors. Mrs Matheson, who doubled as a marriage and civil union celebrant, said those getting married at the Log House Retreat were able to include various packages with their ceremony and wedding night or honeymoon accommodation.
