Health: the main goal

Central Otago Mirror - - ARTS -

Yes - millions of parents around the world have their new-borns and children checked by Chiropractors, and at Cromwell Health, safety is our main priority. Chiropractic adjustments for children and babies are very gentle, with the force used reduced significantly in line with the child or infant’s size. Often the pressure used during an adjustment is no more than the pressure used to check the ripeness of a tomato. Chiropractors look at a client’s whole body. Treatment is focused on the skeleton and nervous system of the client. Our goal is to have the client’s nervous system functioning at its optimum level to promote health and wellbeing. Often the birthing process can be quite stressful on the newborn child. This can cause spinal misalignments that, if left unchecked or uncorrected, can lead to health issues for the child. As your child grows there are many bumps and tumbles in the process, and these too can cause spinal misalignments. Chiropractors are the only professionals trained to check and correct these spinal misalignments. There are many anecdotal reports that chiropractic care can benefit children who have trouble with colic, reflux and many other childhood disorders. By having your child checked by a Chiropractor this is a unique opportunity to correct any problems before chronic patterns set in. Your infant or child’s spine will be assessed for correct movement and we will check that your child is meeting their developmental milestones. If any spinal corrections are needed it will be discussed with the parent and the correction given with low force to the child. Dr Robert Moore has had several years’ experience caring for infants and children and places your child’s safety and health as his main goal to treatment. Please contact Cromwell Health to have your child assessed by a chiropractor.
