Chil­dren at­tend­ing Crayons Kinder­garten, Crayons Af­ter School Care, and our newly opened Crayons Com­mu­nity Child­care Cen­tre get more than just a sound preschool ed­u­ca­tion, with our holis­tic ap­proach, they also get to en­joy gym­skills, mu­sic, and group ex­ten­sion ac­tiv­i­ties as part of our daily pro­grammes. Our trained teach­ing staff are pas­sion­ate about your chil­dren’s care and ed­u­ca­tion and pro­vide them with a mul­ti­tude of early learn­ing ex­pe­ri­ences. Crayons Com­mu­nity Child­care is our brand new baby cen­tre in Cen­ten­nial Av­enue, which pro­vides much needed qual­ity care for ba­bies and tod­dlers, in a well equipped, homely en­vi­ron­ment. You can rest as­sured that your un­der 3’s are well looked af­ter by the qual­i­fied staff in this lovely new cen­tre. Par­ents can choose from a few hours each week to full time care for chil­dren of work­ing par­ents. WINZ sub­si­dies and af­ford­able fees make this cen­tre a must to view. Crayons Kinder­garten in Matau Street caters for the older preschool aged chil­dren, of­fer­ing morn­ing , af­ter­noon or full day ses­sions, and 20 hours free ed­u­ca­tional care for all 3-5 year old chil­dren. Our prepa­ra­tion for school pro­grammes re­in­force prac­ti­cal life skills, as well as pre­read­ing and writ­ing skills, with group time ex­ten­sion ac­tiv­i­ties in­cluded in our daily rou­tine, and an op­tional home­work pro­gramme for all chil­dren over four years of age. Our fan­tas­tic staffing teams in­clude early child­hood and pri­mary trained teach­ers, as well as qual­i­fied gym­sports in­struc­tors, who are ex­pe­ri­enced in plan­ning sound ed­u­ca­tional pro­grammes based around holis­tic de­vel­op­ment, and qual­ity ed­u­ca­tional learn­ing out­comes for chil­dren of all ages. This pro­motes a love of learn­ing from a very early age and en­sures chil­dren are well pre­pared for pri­mary school. Crayons Af­ter School care is also avail­able for pri­mary aged chil­dren, who can be col­lected from lo­cal Alexan­dra Pri­mary schools in the cen­tre van and at­tend up to five days a week. We of­fer a va­ri­ety of af­ter school pro­grammes which in­clude in­door and out­door ac­tiv­i­ties, gym­sports, com­puter skills, bak­ing, board games, and home­work ex­ten­sion pro­grammes. We also of­fer ad­di­tional classes in Gym­nas­tics, Sport Aer­o­bics and Tram­po­line for chil­dren of all ages.
