Celebrating the Maniototo in style
This Friday we will be celebrating 150 years of gold discovery in the Maniototo, our high country heritage, the spoken word and the unique lifestyle of Rural New Zealand.
Step back in time in quaint establishments around the Maniototo and enjoy performances by artists from all around New Zealand and Australia. Make the most of the winter in front of a roaring fire, sipping a delicious Central Otago Pinot Noir, listening to tales of days gone by. Works by local poet ‘Blue Jeans’ (Ross McMillan) will be featured, as will John Grenell, the ‘everywhere man’. Bards, Ballards and Bulldust features miners’ breakfasts, 35 performers, the Speights Back in the Day Concert and Dance and all-day entertainment all around the Maniototo. The best pub crawl ever!
