Has the Central Otago District Council given effective and satisfactory services during the past year? A residents’ satisfaction and opinion survey has been mailed out to more than 3000 people randomly in Central Otago to find out how the council is performing. Central Otago deputy mayor Neil Gillespie said: ‘‘This survey is an important avenue the community can use to give us some feedback on how we’re going in delivering what the community expects.’’ The survey closes on June 7.
CT scanner appeal
The Dunstan Rural Women Group have raised $3000 to go towards the Dunstan Hospital CT scanner appeal after hosting a fashion show held last month. The show Style Angel was held in Alexandra.
Draft annual plan
The Central Otago District Council 2013-14 draft annual plan received more than 350 submissions. The majority of submissions were on district-wide funding for water services but other matters raised included water quality, fluoridation and wheelie bin collection.
