Coun­cil sur­vey

Has the Cen­tral Otago Dis­trict Coun­cil given ef­fec­tive and sat­is­fac­tory ser­vices dur­ing the past year? A res­i­dents’ sat­is­fac­tion and opin­ion sur­vey has been mailed out to more than 3000 peo­ple ran­domly in Cen­tral Otago to find out how the coun­cil is per­form­ing. Cen­tral Otago deputy mayor Neil Gille­spie said: ‘‘This sur­vey is an im­por­tant av­enue the com­mu­nity can use to give us some feed­back on how we’re go­ing in de­liv­er­ing what the com­mu­nity ex­pects.’’ The sur­vey closes on June 7.

CT scan­ner ap­peal

The Dun­stan Ru­ral Women Group have raised $3000 to go to­wards the Dun­stan Hos­pi­tal CT scan­ner ap­peal af­ter host­ing a fash­ion show held last month. The show Style An­gel was held in Alexan­dra.

Draft an­nual plan

The Cen­tral Otago Dis­trict Coun­cil 2013-14 draft an­nual plan re­ceived more than 350 sub­mis­sions. The ma­jor­ity of sub­mis­sions were on dis­trict-wide fund­ing for wa­ter ser­vices but other mat­ters raised in­cluded wa­ter qual­ity, flu­o­ri­da­tion and wheelie bin col­lec­tion.
