Central Otago residents are being urged to dust off their cocktail dresses and James Bond-styled suits for a good cause. A James Bond cocktail night is being held at the Alexandra Monteith’s Brewery Bar on Saturday night to raise funds for the Friends of Dunstan CT scanner appeal. Restaurant owner Liz Alabaster said the event was the chance to pull on a cocktail dress, which was likely not getting much action during winter, as well as raise funds for the CT scanner appeal. ‘‘Money is still required for the ongoing costs of the scanner,’’ Miss Alabaster said. Prizes, including gym memberships and a photo shoot, would be given to the best dressed Bond Boy and Bond Girl and for the best Bond Couple. Tickets $25 with $10 being donated to the scanner appeal.
