What: Of­fi­cial open­ing of the Roxburgh Gorge and Clutha Gold Trail. When: all day tomorrow Where: Break­fast is at 8am at Mon­tei­ths Brew­ery Bar in Alexan­dra. From 9am, walk to the start of the Roxburgh Gorge Trail where Cen­tral Otago Mayor Tony Lep­per will cut the rib­bon and those wish­ing to cy­cle the trail will head off. Of­fi­cial open­ing of both the Clutha Gold and Roxburgh Gorge Trails at Com­mis­sioner Flat at Roxburgh East at mid­day fol­lowed by a cy­cle to Lawrence where, at 4.30pm deputy Prime Min­is­ter Bill English and Waitaki MP Jac­qui Dean will cut the rib­bon at the start of the trail fol­lowed by a com­mu­nity bar­be­cue at Simp­son Park.
