Sit­u­ated on the out­skirts of Alexan­dra and orig­i­nally es­tab­lished as the Spear­grass Ho­tel in 1869, this beau­ti­ful, his­toric build­ing once served gold min­ers who flocked to the re­gion to seek their for­tune. To­day you will find a mod­ern cafe´ and func­tion venue, which of­fers a sump­tu­ous break­fast, lunch and din­ner menu. Beau­ti­fully re­stored and in­clud­ing el­e­gant en suite rooms with pri­vate coun­try gar­dens and ru­ral views, Spear­grass Inn pro­vides the per­fect desti­na­tion to re­lax and unwind with fam­ily and friends. With a va­ri­ety of en­tic­ing menus and ex­pe­ri­enced wait staff, the venue also lends it­self to a range of spe­cial oc­ca­sions, in­clud­ing wed­dings, work func­tions, fam­ily get to­geth­ers or per­haps a party with friends. Spear­grass Inn seats 60 com­fort­ably within an in­ti­mate din­ing set­ting, how­ever groups of up to 120 can be ac­com­mo­dated util­is­ing the canape´ style of func­tion, where guests tend to min­gle and so­cialise a lit­tle more. There is suf­fi­cient room within the venue for a band and the back­drop is gor­geous both in­side and out, ideal for cap­tur­ing pho­to­graphic mem­o­ries.
